Pensioner and concession cardholder duty reduction

If you are an eligible concession cardholder, including a pensioner, you may be entitled to a once-only exemption or concession from land transfer duty (stamp duty).

Different rules apply depending on when you signed a contract to buy your home:

• Contracts signed on or after 1 July 2023
• Contracts signed before 1 July 2023
