You must register to become an approved agent for the purposes of the Duties Act 2000 and the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994.

We can register you, but can also revoke, amend or place conditions on your approved agent registration.

  1. Gather required information

The following information is required to complete the Registration Form for Approved Livestock Agent (Duties Form 30), but refer to the form for specific instructions:

    • your name/trading name and any business partners
    • postal address and physical address of your main Victorian business
    • Victorian addresses where you are performing or propose to perform as a stock agent
    • types of livestock on which you will be liable for duty.
  2. Complete your form

The registration form can be completed and submitted online.

  3. Lodge your form

When you have completed the registration form online, select 'submit' to lodge it with the State Revenue Office.

Next Steps

We will write to you to let you know our decision to approve, approve with conditions, or decline your application to register as an approved livestock agent.
