Complete the short stay booking spreadsheet
When you lodge a return via our short stay levy portal, you need to submit a spreadsheet listing all the short stay bookings that were completed throughout that period.

Know your obligations
The short stay levy must be paid by the booking platform where the booking is accepted via the platform, or by the property owner or tenant where the booking is accepted without a platform.
Booking platforms, owners and tenants that collect booking fees of $75,000 or more per year must lodge and pay the levy quarterly (for the periods ending 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December.
Booking platforms, owners and tenants that collect less than $75,000 in booking fees per year must lodge and pay annually (for the period ending 31 December).

Complete the spreadsheet
When you lodge, you must provide either a comma delimited text file (CSV) or a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet using this template.
The spreadsheet must contain the following details for each short stay booking completed in the relevant period:
- Property address.
- Booking start date.
- Booking end date.
- Total booking amount.

Submit the spreadsheet
You are required to submit the spreadsheet when you lodge through the short stay levy portal.
