Voluntary disclosures

Our aim is to maximise voluntary compliance, which is why we encourage voluntary disclosures when individuals or companies have not met their Victorian tax obligations.

Voluntary disclosures are treated more favourably than when we identify instances of non-compliance.

Tip-offs

As part of our compliance strategy, we actively pursue cases where people are not complying with their tax or grant obligations. Penalties and legal action may result from our investigations.

You can provide a tip-off about another person, company or entity to notify us of non-compliance.

Information can be given anonymously and is protected by our privacy policy and secrecy provisions.

Please note: if you are providing a tip-off about a vacant property and you are unsure of the owner's name, please mark 'Unknown' in the text field in order to submit your tip-off.
