What is My Land Tax?

My Land Tax is an online application that enables you to manage your land tax information quickly and easily.

Registration takes only a few minutes. All you need is your:

  • land tax assessment number
  • customer number (this is on your assessment notice)
  • date of birth
  • email address.

If you are registering on behalf of a company, you need your assessment number, customer number and either:

  • the municipal property number of a property that you own (this is on your council rate notice and is sometimes referred to as property number or assessment number), or
  • an amount paid towards a previous land tax assessment.

If you have already registered, you can log in using your email address and password.

  1. Enter customer details

    On the My Land Tax registration page, enter your customer number and the assessment number from your land tax assessment notice.

  2. Confirm your identity

    To confirm your identity:

    • enter your date of birth, or
    • if you are registering on behalf of a company or trust, enter: 
      • the municipal property number of a property that you own, which is listed on your council rate notice, or
      • an amount paid towards a previous land tax assessment.
  3. Confirm contact details

    Confirm your contact details and that you are happy to receive land tax communications online.

  4. Activate account

    Open the email we send you, activate your account and create a password.

  5. Review associated accounts

    If you have multiple land tax accounts, you will be shown all your accounts. Let us know if something doesn’t look right by calling 13 21 61 or contact us online.

  6. Log in

    You are now ready to log in and manage your land tax records.
