Australian HomeBuilder Grant - assess your eligibility and prepare for your application

In conjunction with a number of other states and territories, we are currently developing an online portal that will allow you to lodge an application for the HomeBuilder Grant.

The online portal will be available shortly, but in the meantime access our HomeBuilder Grant guidelines to check the eligibility criteria and find out what supporting documents you need to prepare for your application.

The HomeBuilder program provides a grant of $25,000 to eligible owner-occupiers, including first home buyers, who build a new home, substantially renovate an existing home or buy an off-the-plan home/new home. It is available for contracts signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020, inclusive.

The Australian Government also has a detailed Frequently Asked Questions document on its Treasury website that is being updated regularly, which you should also read.
