Thousands of Victorians are potentially sitting on a windfall of unclaimed money being held by the State Revenue Office.

The amounts start from $20 and go all the way up to the state’s single biggest unclaimed money entitlement of $882,697 for a Box Hill man.

The SRO holds records of money that remain unclaimed after 12 months, including share dividends, salaries and wages, rents and bonds, and proceeds of sales.

It is free to search and free to claim an entitlement, provided you lodge an application form with the supporting documents to prove the money belongs to you.

Have some personal details ready (name, street, postcode) when you search our unclaimed money register.
