Life insurance duty abolished

The abolition of life insurance duty is one of several changes made by the Building a Better Victoria (State Tax and other Legislation Amendment) Act 2014.
The changes, to come into effect on 1 July, also include amendments to the Duties Act 2000 which now clarify when life insurance policy riders are subject to insurance duty.
