Under the Freedom of information Act 1982, you have the right to request access to information and documents about your personal affairs and the activities of the State Revenue Office.
We support the Victorian Government’s revenue management functions as a division of the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance. Our role is to administer Victoria's taxation legislation and collect a range of taxes, duties, and levies. We are responsible for considering Freedom of Information (FOI) requests that relate to the decisions, functions and activities arising from the laws we administer.
Enquiries relating to the administration of the portfolio more generally should be directed in the first instance to the Department of Treasury and Finance. Where responsibilities overlap, the State Revenue Office and the department liaise to enable a full consideration of the material relevant to the request.
