Under the Freedom of information Act 1982, you have the right to request access to information and documents about your personal affairs and the activities of the State Revenue Office.

As a semi-autonomous agency within the Treasury portfolio, we are responsible for considering Freedom of Information (FOI) requests that relate to the decisions, functions and activities arising from the laws we administer.

Enquiries relating to the administration of the portfolio more generally should be directed in the first instance to the Department of Treasury and Finance. Where responsibilities overlap, the State Revenue Office and the department liaise to enable a full consideration of the material relevant to the request.

Read more about how to make a Freedom of Information (FOI) request, including frequently asked questions about the process.
