Our Annual Review highlights video provides an introduction to our Annual Review 2020-21. This year’s annual review shares our activity for 2020-21, including the revenue we collected, grants and support we administered, and coronavirus tax relief measures we coordinated to provide targeted relief to the Victorian community.

Transcript

It’s been another busy year for the State Revenue Office, as we’ve administered grants and support, collected taxes, duties and levies, and focused on delivering targeted relief to the Victorian community.

We collected $19.6 billion in revenue to fund Victoria’s public facilities and services.

That’s our hospitals, schools, parks, public transport, roads, infrastructure, and more.

We’ve coordinated the delivery of 21 coronavirus tax relief measures, providing $960 million in tax relief for businesses, home buyers and many others.

The amount of support we provide to help people buy their homes continues to increase each year.

Over the last year, we handed out over $274 million in grants to more than 22,000 first home buyers.

We also provided stamp duty savings including $885 million to first home buyers, $62 million in stamp duty savings to pensioners, and $130 million in stamp duty savings to people buying their own home.

We also administered the Australian Government’s HomeBuilder grant in Victoria – and received more than 39,000 applications.

This year, we allocated over $296 million in grants, subsidies, rebates, and payments.

This included reuniting more than $11 million in unclaimed money with its rightful owners via our unclaimed money register.

And that’s just the start of our work for the year. Visit our Annual Review website to find out more.
