  • the number of days you/your group employed in Australia for the year
  • Victorian wages/group Victorian wages
  • interstate wages/group interstate wages.

Threshold amounts and phase-out rules may vary depending on the financial year and your total Australian wages.

Who it is for

This calculator is for employers, companies and business groups that pay wages in Victoria.

You may be liable for payroll tax if your taxable Australian wages exceed the annual threshold of $1,000,000 or the monthly threshold of $83,333.

If you are part of a group or have interstate wages, your threshold may be adjusted. For details see threshold and phase-out rate.
