Notify us that premises are not short stay accommodation

Use this declaration form to tell booking platforms your property is excluded.

Key information

The property must fall within one of the exclusions in the Short Stay Levy Act 2024 to be excluded.

Some booking platforms provide the declaration form on their own websites. If you complete the form on a booking platform’s website, you don’t need to complete this form.

If you use a booking platform that doesn’t provide the form on their website, you need to complete this form then send a copy to the booking platform.

Step 1: Gather your information

You need this information to complete the declaration that premises are not short stay accommodation:

  • Your name and contact details.
  • The details of the property owner and renter (individual, company/incorporated association or trust), including postal address and contact details.
  • Property address.
  • Why the property is not short stay accommodation.
  • A separate schedule if you are providing a declaration for multiple properties.

You must send the declaration to any booking platforms that accept short stay bookings on your behalf.
