G.J. Montalto Nominees Pty Ltd v Commissioner of State Revenue [2006] VCAT 646
This was a duties matter, which was heard by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. A decision was handed down on 13 April 2006 in favour of the Commissioner.
The issue was whether the lands were being transferred as a result of the contracts, or whether the contracts should be disregarded and therefore the transfers treated as being made other than for valuable consideration.
