Our Duties Returns SmartForm can be used to lodge returns and pay for insurance duty.
You can pay your insurance duty by credit card, BPAY, and by electronic funds transfer (EFT).
Credit card
When paying by credit card
- You need a current Visa or Mastercard.
- A card payment fee of 0.45% applies to all card transactions (fees are not charged for other payment methods).
BPAY
Pay directly from your cheque or savings account using your financial institution's internet or telephone service.
Have the biller code and reference number, which appear on your assessment, with you.

Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
You can transfer your payment to us online directly from your cheque or savings account. Our bank account details are on the assessment notice or return you received.
Overdue assessments and payment plans
If you are seeking an arrangement to pay an overdue assessment via a payment plan of up to 12 months, please use our online SmartForm.
